Yuga Labs acquires CryptoPunks and Meebits
Yuga Labs, creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club or BAYC, announced the acquisition of the intellectual property (IP) of Larva Labs’ CryptoPunks and Meebits NFT collections. By adding these brands to their portfolio, Yuga Labs now owns the copyright in the art, along with 423 CryptoPunks and 1711 Meebits.
Some big news for today: Yuga has acquired the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections @LarvaLabs, and first, we’re giving full commercial rights to the NFT owners. Just like we did for BAYC and MAYC owners. pic.twitter.com/lAIKKvoEDj

We have some great news to announce today: Yuga has acquired the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections from @LarvaLabs and the first thing we do is give full commercial rights to NFT holders. Just like we did with the owners of BAYC and MAYC. pic.twitter.com/lAIKKvoEDj
CryptoPunks terms and conditions, unlike BAYC previously, restricted the transfer of intellectual property, copyright or trademarks to punk owners. Because of this, Yuga Labs has decided to transfer all commercial rights to NFT holders to allow “community developers and creators to integrate CryptoPunks and Meebits into their Web3 projects”.

Larva Labs co-founder Matt Hall and John Watkinson are not joining Yuga and will continue to lead projects outside of Larva Labs. They explained in a blog post that as the category of profile picture projects, or PFP, grew into an industry in its own right, “we saw [Yuga Labs] the skills and experience in that area that we lacked.”
NFT support is added to 1 inch wallet
The 1 inch network has announced that 1 inch wallet users will be able to see the NFTs they have in their address and check information about them. This feature aims to make it easier to store and manage NFTs and allow users to send NFTs to other wallets.
1inch Wallet has integrated the OpenSea API to add NFT support. The NFT support feature is currently available on the Ethereum and Polygon networks and will reportedly be extended to other chains “soon”..

Of the 1,336 total pieces, five are 1:1 auctions, which include the physical game card and a Spurs experience next season for the winner. The other 1,331 NFTs are a combination of the five game maps and five pitches the Spurs played on during Coach Pop’s tenure.
