A webinar on Substrate, a modular blockchain framework, will take place on May 5th. In addition, a workshop on substrate will be held on May 7th. Both will be responsible for Ricardo Rius, Parity Software Engineer. This has been reported on the website of the Blockchain Academy Chile.
The substrate webinar will take place on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. (Chilean time). “We invite a new lecture to our community, this time giving us the opportunity to learn about substrates, the underlying framework upon which Polkadot is based,” announced Blockchain Chile.
As the organizers explained, it is a set of tools for blockchain innovators that provide the building blocks needed to build a chain. “They have a library of modular plugins from which you can put together your own blockchain logic and write your own palettes to use or publish to the community,” they said.
“Wasm Substrate has a platform for developing smart contracts that can be used immediately. Because Substrate uses Wasm, smart contracts can be created in any supported language, “they added.
On the other hand, a workshop on “Parity – Substrate” will take place on May 7th. The scheduled time is 11 a.m. (Eastern Time, USA and Canada).
The goal of this workshop is to teach you how to work with substrates to create your own blockchain.
The following requirements are required to participate:
– Linux or Mac operating system (Windows not recommended)
– console management
– Basic knowledge of rust
Some of the topics covered during this training are:
– The problems that exist in blockchains today.
– The basic principle of the substrate.
– Rust programming language.
– Wasm (WebAssembly).
– Blockchain update without forks (no hard forks).
