In Spain, the Cordovan olive cooperative Almazaras de la Subbética has started a traceability project for its oils using blockchain technology. The work was carried out jointly with the company NoSoloSoftware, the University of Córdoba (UCO) and the Rural Development Group (GDR) from Subbética. This was reported by the Cordoba Hoy portal.
The project was funded by the GRD de la Subbética. “”The result is that Almazaras de la Subbética’s customers can get a new tracking system through blockchain technology for the next campaign”, Highlighted the article in Cordoba Hoy.
“This is an important step in the digital transformation of its processes, as Almazaras de la Subbética, which has already applied traceability systems in its production process, has now applied blockchain technology to make the traditional traceability system transparent to the user. ”They added later in this publication.
In this way, You can trace the origin of the product taking into account the olive as it reaches the oil mill and even until it is bottled. Everything is registered in a system that end users can access.
