The Chinese city of Wuhan, where the outbreak of the corona virus started last December, registered a new focus of infection on Monday, the first time since the authorities have withdrawn quarantine measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
Local authorities have indicated that five new cases of Covid-19 have been registered so far, all in people living in the same complex. One of the infected is the wife of a man who tested positive on Sunday and was the first case since April 3.
The last confirmed cases were originally classified as asymptomatic so that these people can transmit the virus even if, according to the CNA television station, they have no clinical symptoms.
In China, with 4,637 pandemic deaths, asymptomatic cases are not included in the total number of confirmed cases, which is currently 84,010, according to official sources.
