World Vision warns of the effects of the explosions in Beirut on the well-being of “vulnerable” children

World Vision said on Wednesday after the violent explosions on Tuesday afternoon in the port of the Lebanese capital, “extremely concerned about the well-being of vulnerable children and families in Beirut”.

“We are really concerned about the families and children living in the affected areas,” said Josephine Haddad, NGO communications manager for Lebanon, in a statement.

The humanitarian organization said that the explosions “devastated several neighborhoods in the center, destroyed houses, broken windows, and released thick smoke in the air,” leaving “many people homeless in a toxic environment.”
