WhatsApp is launching more tools to help small and medium-sized business (SMB) owners take advantage of the year-end sales season that began this week with the Good End in Mexico.
Why is it a useful tool for your business? Today, more than 175 million people send messages to a WhatsApp Business account every day, and in Mexico more than 2 million people view a company’s catalog every month. According to a recent study, 73% of adults in Mexico said they were more willing to shop with a company they can message them than a company they can’t communicate with in this way.
To improve your customers’ shopping experience, especially during these two weeks with special offers and discounts, Whatsapp implemented a new in-app buy button that makes it easier for users to discover a company’s catalog and learn about the products and services on offer.

Previously, you had to click on the company profile to find out if that company had a catalog. Now, when you see the Buy button (labeled as a storefront icon), you instantly know that the company has a catalog so you can search for a product and start a conversation about the item with the touch of a button.
This buy button is now available worldwide and replaces the voice call button. To find the voice call button, all you need to do is click the call button to select a voice or video call.
