What’s the real story?

At the weekend, the brand new CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, had a lot of fun on Twitter at the expense of Bitcoin and Bitcoiner fell straight into the trap. They always play along very easily. And he takes advantage of it. The truth is that Musk is an advertising joker and millennials in particular always fall prey to his tricks. In other words, the theme is a snake charmer. Without a doubt, a real genius at raising capital. The success of the business model remains to be seen, however. When it comes to narrative and vision, there is no one like Elon Musk. He is the undisputed king in founding FOMO. But can it keep its many promises?

Bitcoin always wants to reach new highs and Elon Musk is using the situation to earn free advertising. And in cash, the strategy worked perfectly for him because the networks went crazy with his comments on Bitcoin of the weekend. Nothing special. He suggested that he was already tempted to buy bitcoin. He shared comments with Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, regarding the ability to convert Tesla dollars to Bitcoin by emulating MicroStrategy’s latest move. And Musk’s trick question: “Can i buy large quantities?“”

Elon knows the answer to this question perfectly. He’s not a fool. What happens is that he plays stupid a lot. It was all a joke to me. The great beneficiary of all of this was DogeCoin, a regular protagonist of Musk’s jokes. It rose pretty sharply after a tweet from Musk. DogeCoin is a somewhat ridiculous project. That said, it’s kind of an excuse for the banality. Its value lies precisely in its triviality. The meme-inspired cryptocurrency with a market cap of several million dollars. Something completely absurd. So absurd that it has become a valuable item. That’s the big irony. In short, Dogecoin is a constant source of humor. And Elon knows.

If Elon Musk decides to set up a fund to buy Bitcoin, his success would be immense. Because of his charisma, he would get funding right away. A bitcoin fund would be ideal for him as bitcoin is a significant unproductive / speculative asset. In other words, in this case you would not have to generate any sales, income or the like. His job would be to be Elon Musk, the visionary. It wouldn’t be Elon Musk, the CEO, who one day will have to post profits and sales.

That’s the big detail about Elon Musk. Musk the fundraiser is infinitely better than Musk the industrialist. Of course, I don’t want to distract from the topic. However, it is clear that in your business life, promises were more important than results. His first company Zip2 was a successful startup that managed to sell for a very good price. But, Was it really a productive company or a promise? His second project was PayPal. His own board gave him a coup and then the company was acquired by eBay. You made a lot of money on the deal, but how was your job as CEO?

Now he has several companies. All big promises. But what is the situation at book level? SpaceX is a private company. In other words, we don’t have a lot of information. But in the case of Tesla, yes. Tesla is the world’s most valuable automotive company by market capitalization. It is ahead of Toyota, Volkswagen, General Motors, and Honda. But not only that. Tesla outperforms all of the previous ones combined. However, when we review auto sales, the number is a big surprise. The other companies sell 121 cars for each Tesla. I mean, the gap between the books of accounts and the stock valuation is just breathtaking.

Elon Musk is one of the richest men in the world, but he’s not particularly fluid. In other words, their wealth lies mainly in the stocks of their companies. Of course, a Tesla investor knows full well that the company doesn’t sell more cars than the competition. But the thing is, the Tesla investor isn’t really investing in today’s Tesla. You are investing in the Tesla of tomorrow. In other words, the Tesla investor believes he is an early investor in the top electric car leader of the future. And not just cars. Batteries and software too.

Now, of course, Tesla is not a value investment. The numbers clearly do not support his current assessment. Tesla is a growth investment. Investors generally rely on future sales. But, Can Tesla beat the competition? Can he beat the Chinese? Could you overcome your production problems in time? How well can CEO Elon Musk achieve tangible results? Can you focus on the income? Or do you have your thoughts on Mars?

For fans of Elon Musk, the guy is an all-can-do demigod. But can you make a profit? So far it has been proven that your vision can inspire investors. But time flies by. Sooner or later, the investor will learn the big difference between hype and dividends.

According to Elon Musk, his passion is to shape the future. Which means the investment world is not its forte. In the past, people like Warren Buffett have been ridiculed for believing “nothing”. On the contrary, he is a creator. That would, in theory, deter you from investing in Bitcoin. We have to remember that there is no creation in Bitcoin. But of course Elon Musk talks a lot. And you never know what is serious and what is joking. In my opinion he is first and foremost a great dream maker. In other words, a narrator who sells.

Now we must remember that not all is rosy for the genius of capital raising. The trial begins in March in Delaware over the alleged misconduct in purchasing SolarCity in 2016. Musk is set to be at the center of a major legal controversy very soon. I assume you have to walk very carefully. Big Tech is the authorities’ favorite villain today. And more than an ambitious official would like to be the hero who cut off the head of one of these giants. It’s under the microscope. And that’s always a brake. Are you going to buy bitcoin? I honestly do not know. Elon Musk is unpredictable. The real story is that there is no real story. So far everything has been a great show.
