This Sunday, Peruvian President Martín Vizcarra appealed to the “responsibility” of citizens to prevent new outbreaks of new coronavirus cases in the country and thus reactivate economic activities.
“If we are responsible, we can gradually activate the economy and avoid outbreaks. The government is doing its best, but we will achieve it if citizens take full responsibility,” said the president.
According to the official newspaper “El Peruano”, Vizcarra has claimed that the government is expanding hospital offerings in regions where the number of coronavirus cases for patient care has increased.
He also pointed out that 9,000 health professionals had been hired to deal with the pandemic in the past three months, and he recalled the importance of using masks to reduce infections.
