The Vietnamese authorities approved the use of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V to fight the coronavirus this Tuesday, the Vietnamese news portal VnExpress reported.
This has been confirmed by the Asian country’s Ministry of Health, which has indicated that Vietnam is the 56th country to approve the use of these vials in this way.
Following the Vietnamese government’s decision, the parties are likely to focus on creating a “roadmap” for supply. With this in mind, the authorities have hired the Ministry of Science, Technology and Education of the Ministry of Health to carry out the relevant inspections on the use of the vaccine.
Currently, according to the drug’s developers, Sputnik V is the second most widely approved COVID-19 vaccine in the world.
