Do you think the authorities are exaggerating the social isolation measures they are taking to stem the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak? This video will make you change your mind.
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published a video in late March showing how far a sneeze can go from a person potentially carrying the coronavirus responsible for the global pandemic.
The video shot the sneeze close-up in slow motion to show 2,000 frames per second to show how a person expels a cloud of air and mucous (and potentially virulent) droplets up to 8 meters away.
In this coronavirus pandemic, people are rushing to stores to buy whatever disinfectant they can find in hopes of avoiding a Covid-19 infection. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) insist that one of the best precautions we can take in the face of this outbreak is to simply wash your hands constantly for at least 20 seconds.
