Venezuela will sell $ 10 million of its resources abroad through PAHO brokerage

Venezuela will receive $ 10 million of its overseas resources through the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), which will flow into a special fund to meet coronavirus needs in the Caribbean country.

“We had the opportunity to allocate $ 10 million, the Venezuelan people’s resources, to our doctors, health workers and COVID-19 patients,” said Delcy Rodríguez, Venezuela’s executive vice president, at the end of a meeting with PAHO in Miraflores.

At a press conference, Rodríguez described the meeting, which also included Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and Health Minister Carlos Alvarado, as “very fruitful” and thanked PAHO for welcoming his request and conveying the Norwegian government that has made Venezuela possible through to dispose of its foreign currency.

So far, more than a thousand tons of equipment against the corona virus has arrived in Venezuela via PAHO and with the support of countries such as China, Russia, Cuba or Turkey.
