Venezuela Urges Donor Conference Countries to “Request Resources” Due to Pandemic

May 26, 2020

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza advised countries participating in the donor conference organized by the EU and Spain this Tuesday to raise funds for Venezuelan migrants to “urgently request resources” for themselves about the coronavirus pandemic.

“Given the apparent collapse of their health systems and the painful and notorious aftermath of the pandemic, several countries should take part in donor conferences to urgently request resources to avoid further infections and deaths from COVID-19.” Arreaza said on Twitter.

On the other hand, the self-proclaimed “responsible president” of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, thanked the international community for their support in the face of the “migration crisis caused by the dictatorship”.
