The new coronavirus pandemic, originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has left a total of 1,096 new cases and ten deaths in Venezuela in the last 24 hours, according to the latest record by the Venezuelan Ministry of Health.
With the new data, the balance of the new coronavirus pandemic in Venezuela is 50,973 infected and 412 deaths. In terms of recovery, 41,429 patients have managed to overcome COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus. Active cases are 9,312.
According to regions, the capital district (Caracas) is the most affected area with 13,496 infected people, followed by the state of Miranda with 8,085 cases and Zulia with 5,507 positive cases.
Globally, the new coronavirus pandemic is leaving more than 26.6 million cases and more than 874,000 deaths in 188 countries and territories around the world, according to Johns Hopkins University.
