September 16, 2020

The Venezuelan government this Wednesday rejected a report by United Nations investigators denouncing crimes against humanity committed or advocated by the country’s government, stressing that the document was “full of falsehoods”.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza has said it is a “falsehood-plagued report, produced remotely and without methodological rigor by an anti-Venezuela mission controlled by Washington-controlled governments.”

For example, in his report on the Twitter social network, he stressed that the publication of this document “illustrates the perverse practice of human rights policy, not human rights policy,” before adding that the government had already refused the training for the information mission.
