Venezuela overcomes the barrier of 10,000 coronavirus cases

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reported on Tuesday that the Caribbean country has broken the barrier of 10,000 cases of coronavirus.

The President said 303 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the past 24 hours, 281 have been transmitted by the community and 22 have been imported, increasing the country’s global population to 10,010 infections.

In addition, 93 percent of the last day registered community cases correspond to Miranda and the capital district, where the Venezuelan authorities have placed strict quarantine due to the increase in the number of new cases.

Miranda has confirmed 56 new infections, a total of 889, while the capital district in which Caracas is located has confirmed 42 new infections, a total of 1,079, as reported by VTV.
