The Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and state and local police forces have been deployed across Venezuela since Monday to ensure “strict compliance” with the “radical and guarded” quarantine of taxes related to the corona virus to stop, as the Venezuelan government spokesman Jorge Rodríguez reports.
These measures include detention and special security barriers in ten states: capital district, Bolívar, Apure, Táchira, Zulia, La Guaira, Aragua, Miranda, Lara and Trujillo. As of this Monday, only the food, health, water, electricity, gas, pharmaceuticals distribution and telecommunications sectors will function.
This presupposes the discontinuation of the services of the Caracas metro, the Los Teques metro and the railroad to the Valles del Tuy in the capital region.
In the rest of the country, radical quarantine is maintained and monitored in accordance with the 7 + 7 flexibility scheme drawn up by health authorities.
Rodríguez has asked the population to comply with these preventive measures, especially with regard to the correct use of the mask. “The use of the mask (mask) was alarmingly relaxing. The mask must cover the person’s nose and mouth as the likelihood of infection increases significantly,” he emphasized.
