Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reported this Sunday that 419 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number since the pandemic’s health crisis began in the country.
Maduro has detailed that out of the 419 cases, 332 were transferred from the community, 79 from abroad, and another eight after maintaining contact with travelers regarding Venezuelan border servants.
“Imported cases are still high,” said Maduro, who said they were found at “legal” border crossings.
However, it has also warned that there has been an “explosion” of imported cases since May, and accuses the “Trocheros” of helping people illegally cross the border between Colombia and Colombia Venezuela.
