The government of Venezuela has announced another month’s extension of the country’s alert to prevent the spread of coronavirus cases.
“We must continue to deal with this pandemic in the country, to deal with the outbreak that is affecting Venezuela, and where we must all try to cut the chain of infection,” said Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President of Venezuela.
Rodríguez assured that the rapid tests “would deploy the workers nationwide”. So far, he has said that according to information from the Venezuelan television chain, they have carried out more than a million tests.
“It’s hard work, but it was the most effective mechanism, in addition to the radical quarantine and social isolation that Venezuela could show the world,” added the vice president.
