Venezuela denounces that its consulate in Bogotá was “completely devastated and looted”

“We denounce that the headquarters of the Venezuelan consulate in Bogotá was completely destroyed and looted,” Arreaza said in his Twitter account, saying that “the Colombian authorities left her unprotected.”

The Venezuelan minister has pointed out that leaving the headquarters of the diplomatic mission unprotected “violates” the Vienna Convention on diplomatic and consular relations and believes that “the Colombian state must react”.

In a statement released later, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that what happened to the Colombian government is an apparent violation of Articles 22 and 25 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations by allowing, refraining from, or refraining from, the illegal occupation “of the Venezuelan headquarters in Bogotá.
