Venezuela calls the closing of the Chinese consulate in Houston an “unsubstantiated attack”

Venezuela’s Secretary of State Jorge Arreaza has described the US decision to close the Chinese Consulate General in Houston, Texas, as “unsubstantiated aggression.”

“The political, ideological, diplomatic, economic, and media escalation of the United States government against the People’s Republic of China is an unfounded aggression against a sovereign country,” said Arreaza on his Twitter account.

The Venezuelan minister has also assured that “making lies” against China is part of President Donald Trump’s “despair”.
