Venezuela has started easing the quarantine this Monday, which has been imposed to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic at three levels using the 7 + 7 method. but it has asked the population to “comply with the measures”.
“Our people will deliberately start this week of flexibility with the Venezuelan method, the 7 + 7 plan implemented by President Nicolás Maduro to protect everyone’s health and enable the gradual reactivation of the country’s economic sectors,” said the vice president Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, via her account on the social network Twitter.
“Taking into account the active focus of COVID-19, this week of flexibility will be carried out according to the three levels announced by the Presidential Commission. We urge our employees to adhere to the hygiene and biosecurity measures,” he added.
At level one, a radical quarantine is thus set up without relenting. It is maintained in the state of Zulia and in all border municipalities as well as in the municipalities of El Vigía (Mérida) and Cumaná (Sucre), as various sources of infection are still active in these areas.
