“The forced, unilateral and illegal measures imposed by the United States government, falsely portrayed as individual sanctions, have abducted more than $ 30,000 million from our people,” he said.
With this in mind, he stressed that “our resources cannot even be used to meet commitments to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) strategic and revolving fund and prevent access to vaccines and drugs.”
On the other hand, he thanked the solidarity action of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the PAHO as well as the system of the United Nations and the governments of China, Russia, Cuba and Iran for the offered humanitarian aid virus.
Alvarado has also assured that around 100,000 Venezuelans were treated in the sanitary cords set up at the country’s borders. “Since mid-July we have seen an increase in Venezuelans who have emigrated to neighboring countries and are returning to Venezuela in search of health and social security,” he said.
