Ukrainian forces shoot down 17 Russian air targets

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that it shot down 17 “enemy” air targets, including eight planes and three helicopters, over the past 24 hours.

“The Air Force attacked 17 air targets: eight planes, three helicopters, four unmanned aerial vehicles and two cruise missiles,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces statement said.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces “continue to maintain the circular defense of the city of Mariupol and defend and prevent the enemy’s advance in the Chernihiv region,” they added.

They also assured that they removed the Russian troops from the access points Krivói Rog 40-60 km.

“The enemy will not only be stopped in all directions, but will also be pushed back from distant approaches to the city,” announced the head of the Krivoy Rog regional state administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, as reported by The Kyiv Independent.
