The new normal new customs come and with it. In this sense, Over It has already published its plan to review the use of face masks in Mexico and in the other countries in which it operates.

With a selfie, the driving partners have to check whether they are wearing the face mask. The users are then informed that their driver is using the appropriate protection. Customers must also wear the mask, otherwise the driver can cancel the trip.

This function recognizes the mouth mask as an object within the photo. This means that no biometric information is processed or the selfie is compared with other photos of the driver. This means that it is not a parameter to check its identity.

In addition to using face masks, the mobility company is asking its drivers to confirm another set of hygiene measures, including disinfecting the vehicle, paying particular attention to the areas of maximum contact, hand washing, and social detachment.

The corona virus hit

Uber was one of the companies most affected by the containment measures derived from Covid-19. Just a few weeks after announcing the layoff of 3,700 employees, the company announced on Monday that it would fire another 3,000 employees and close around 47 offices worldwide.

This time, those affected were full-time employees, mainly customer service employees. In addition, Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of the company, will no longer collect his salary by the end of the year.
