Rotematch is the software provider for public transportation that has just been acquired by Uber. With this purchase, the joint mobility company can quickly expand its customer base, but also combine the on-demand transport and directional technology developed by both companies.
“This will allow us to further improve our ability to serve public transport companies faster,” said David Reich, Ubers chief traffic officer, in an interview on Wednesday.
Routematch is headquartered in Atlanta and offers around 550 transit agencies in North America and Australia technology for the operation of fixed routes, including payment processing, fleet management, route planning, tracking and planning.
