U.S. Reaches 300 Million Administered Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine

The United States hit 300 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in the country this Sunday, while new cases and deaths from the disease hit the same levels as at the start of the pandemic.

Around 1.6 million vaccine doses were administered across the country that Sunday, almost half a million more than the previous day, according to data from Bloomberg Vaccine Tracker.

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has indicated that 63.5 percent of the population have been vaccinated with at least one dose to date, a number that is in line with the goal of United States President Joe Biden, who received 70 percent of those vaccinated Population for July.

As of yesterday, 362 coronavirus-related deaths and 10,437 new cases had been recorded, bringing the total to around 597,000 deaths and 33.4 million accumulated cases since the pandemic began.
