Two teenage girls were killed by their own families in Pakistan for an alleged “honor” when identified when accompanied by a young man.

“We have started investigating this case as an alleged honor kill,” said agent Draz Khan, who was responsible for the case.

The incident occurred in the city of Razmak in North Waziristan – a former refuge for Al Qaeda and the Taliban. A video posted on social networks showed the young man and three girls outdoors.

These pictures could be evidence of a violation of a traditional custom that prevents young women from some communities from being publicly seen with a man from outside their family.
