Juntos y Creemos political alliances will file a formal complaint with the Bolivian Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) to contest Luis Arce’s candidacy for former President Evo Morales’ Socialism Movement (MAS) party for the general election.
Juntos spokesman José Luis Bedregal said the lawsuit was due to Arce’s alleged election failure, who released the results of a MAS poll outside the set deadlines.
“MAS tries to distract and seek a way out of its candidate’s violation of the electoral norm. It should be remembered that the election committee has resumed the election calendar and there is no excuse not to take responsibility,” said Bedregal. as reported by the Bolivian news agency ABI.
Juntos spokeswoman, whose interim president in September 6 was Bolivian interim president Jeanine Áñez, said the complaint will be filed with the TSE early Monday morning.
