June 4, 2020

Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoglu, reported on Thursday that the government plans to gradually resume flights to and from 40 countries from June 10.

The first flights to resume are flights to Cyprus, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Qatar and Greece, the minister said in a statement. “We have an agreement with Austria, Lithuania, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Albania, Belarus and other countries to restore the flights,” he said.

As announced by the Anatolia news agency, Turkey suspended all international flights on March 28 to prevent contagion from the coronavirus pandemic.
