The Turkish government confirmed on Sunday that the country has already exceeded 225,000 coronavirus infections, although it has stressed that the number of infections recovered daily exceeds the number of new infections.
The authorities reported 927 new cases of coronavirus on the last day, representing a total of 226,100 confirmed infections in the country, the country’s health minister, Fahrettin Koca, reported on Sunday.
“937 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered, the total number of infected is 226,100. Today we lost 17 patients and a total of 5,613 died,” reported Koca on his Twitter account.
The owner added that on the last day, however, 1,010 patients were discharged, up to 209,487 people recovered.
“The number of new cases has been averaging in recent days, but the difference between recovered and new cases maintains Saturday’s trend,” said Koca.
