Trump won’t respect current New Jersey quarantine this weekend because “he’s not a civilian”

June 25, 2020

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, will travel to New Jersey this weekend and will not respect the state’s quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic because “he is not a civilian.”

“The President of the United States is not a civilian. Everyone close to him, including his team, guests, and the press, has gone through the COVID-19 diagnostic test and has confirmed that they are negative,” said Press Secretary of State for Press White House Judd Deere in a statement that was picked up on CNN television.

New Jersey governor Phil Murphy has quarantined people outside the state who have recently traveled to pandemic hot spots in the United States, as well as Connecticut and New York. The quarantine must be punished with a fine of 14 days.

In the case of Trump going to a golf club, he would have to undergo isolation because he traveled to Arizona on Tuesday, one of the states that New Jersey selected for the number of COVID-19 cases registered.
