Trump plans to resume rallies this month despite the corona virus pandemic

June 10, 2020

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, plans to resume the rallies as part of his campaign for the November presidential election despite the health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“We will shortly announce where the first rally will take place before the end of the month,” said Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh to Fox News Television.

The massive Trump rallies have been widespread since 2016. However, the pandemic in March caused presidential candidates to suspend all campaign events. Since then, the New York magnate has been calling for campaign activities to be resumed.

The announcement came when the country was preparing to reopen after months of coronavirus restrictions. However, health authorities were against allowing large crowds for fear of an increase in infections, especially in confined spaces.
