Trump is fueling a theory that questions the origin of Kamala Harris

August 14, 2020

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has avoided questioning a theory shared by his supporters that questions Senator Kamala Harris’ right to hold the vice presidency, and has even indicated that he is not in the North American country could have been born.

After Harris was elected as fellow Democratic White House candidate Joe Biden, Trump went to great lengths to discredit her, even calling her “radical” and “insane.” In the past few hours, however, his environment has gone a step further.

A campaign advisor, Jenna Ellis, shared a message on Twitter Thursday from a Conservative leader who questioned Harris’ legitimacy to fill the country’s second highest office under the constitution’s citizenship clause.

An opinion piece by University Professor John Eastman – published in Newsweek magazine – was also circulated in conservative circles doubting Harris’ parents of Jamaican and Indian descent were legal residents when the senator was born in Oakland, California in 1964.
