MADRID, Jan. 22 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The American president, Donald Trump, has invited the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg to worry about “other countries” and not just the United States because, according to him, the American country is doing well in ecological matters.
At a press conference in Davos (Switzerland), where he has attended the World Economic Forum, Trump has criticized that “some people” are formulating “unrealistic” demands and has argued that “environmental data is very good.”
“You have to do something with other continents, with other countries,” he defended, emphasizing that the United States is a “clean and precious” country. “There is another continent where gases are emitted at incredible levels,” he added, clearly referring to Asia.
“I think Greta should focus on other countries” because the United States “is doing better than ever.” “We have a beautiful ocean called Pacific with thousands and thousands of tons of garbage flowing to us put there by other countries so I think Greta has to start working in those other countries,” he insisted.
On the other hand, Trump has said he would have liked to see the intervention of the Swedish activist participated in the Davos Forum on Tuesday and has joked that he took the cover of the magazine 'Time' as Person of the Year.
