WASHINGTON, Sep 16 (Reuters / EP) –
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has denied on Sunday that he is willing to meet the president of Iran, Hasan Rohani, without establishing “any type of condition” first.
“The fake news say that I am willing to meet with Iran without conditions. That is incorrect (as always),” he said in his Twitter account.
However, the Reuters news agency has said that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo himself said last week that Trump was willing to meet “without pre-set conditions.”
This same Sunday, The White House has reported that there could be a meeting between the US president and his Iranian counterpart despite the attacks on Saturday against several oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.
