U.S. President Donald Trump’s medical team, hospitalized for coronavirus, reported this Sunday that he could be discharged this Monday from Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was admitted on Friday.
Dr. Brian Garibaldi stated that a second dose of the antiviral remdesivir was given that Saturday and that “he is feeling good today”. “He was up and down. Our plan for today is for him to eat and drink and get out of bed,” Garibaldi explained at a press conference.
“If he continues to look and feel good today, we hope he will be released tomorrow and go to the White House to continue his treatment,” he added.
Trump’s personal doctor, Sean Conley, also attended the event with the press, who stressed that the patient “continues to improve” but, as with any illness, “there are ups and downs”.
