Trump admitted that journalist Bob Woodward “downplayed” the coronavirus threat in March.

United States President Donald Trump admitted in a series of interviews with journalist Bob Woodward that he “downplayed” the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in March this year.

This shows Woodward’s new book entitled “Rage” (“Rabies”), in which the journalist says that Trump knew the danger of the virus, that it was highly contagious, that it was “more deadly than even a very strong flu”. and that he repeatedly downplayed it publicly.

The book is based on conversations Woodward had with Trump between December 5, 2019 and July 21, 2020. The president told Woodward on February 7th that COVID-19 was “a lethal thing,” informed CNN television, which had accessed some of the footage.
