Things to Do – With its nice sunny and rainy weather not to mention a diverse topography, expect a handful of activities within Pacific Northwest’s vicinity. On the Snake River, whitewater rafting is a popular activity while for those who wants a more subtle water sport; you can kayak at the coastal region. The sea is calm on this area which gives you the opportunity of exploring places as far as San Juan Islands and Puget Sound of Washington. And speaking of San Juan Islands, you can actually watch whales over there during spring and fall. Skiing and snowboarding are also possible! Just proceed to Cascade Mountains. Of course there’s something for dad and grandpa too! Encourage them to bring their fishing rods or hunting equipment and just leave them do their thing. Backpacking and hiking is also popular in this region.
Things to Remember – Stock up for food supplies, bring extra batteries, camp on safe zones, wear proper outdoor attire, and bring first aid kits and other camping essentials. Water won’t be a problem as Pacific Northwest has some of the cleanest and clearest in the world! Don’t trust the weather as it could change quickly.
