Tokyo exceeded 10,000 coronavirus cases on Wednesday after adding another 200 new positives in one day. This was part of the increase in infections that started with de-escalation in this Japanese prefecture.
The governor, Yuriko Koike, has registered 238 new cases in the past 24 hours, a total of 10,054, according to the Kiodo news agency.
Tokyo discovered its first case on January 24, and after a period of imprisonment where it was possible to control the infection, the outbreaks began when de-escalation began in May. Three-digit daily numbers were recorded in July with the record data of 293 achieved last Friday.
In this case, Koike is expected to reappear in the next few hours to ask the residents of Tokyo to give up unnecessary trips in front of the four-day bridge that starts on Thursday.
