The program Today, it no longer circulates for all private vehicles, regardless of the hologram. It ended today, Monday June 15th, and the cars can be put back into circulation after their latest vehicle inspection.

This includes cars with number plates Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

This was announced on June 12 by CDMX Prime Minister Claudia Sheinbaum, so that Starting Monday, June 15th, the subway and Metrobús stations will open and the temporary Hoy No Circula program will be suspended.Manufacturing activities would start on a schedule Monday through Thursday.

The announcements were part of the transition Mexico City will make this week from red to orange epidemiological traffic lights. According to the government, the reduction in health alerts will depend on the number of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations in the capital that remain stable.

The CDMX head of government also said that these activities could resume in the city next week as long as the measures for healthy distance and hygiene are observed:

23rd June: Shops reopening in the historic center

June 24th: Hotels and restaurants reopen to 40 percent of capacity

25th June: Reopening of shopping centers with a capacity of 30 percent

June 27th: Reopening of street markets and markets

June 28th: Resumption of worship at 50 percent of capacity.
