Three suspected armed separatists die in a clash in one of Cameroon’s Anglophone regions

July 31, 2020

The Cameroonian security forces killed three suspected armed separatists in a clash in the northwest region on Friday, one of them with an Anglophone majority in the African country.

Security sources cited by the Journal du Cameroun newspaper have indicated that the three deceased tried to attack a military patrol in the city of Santa in the Mezam division, which triggered a confrontation.

The incident occurred one day after the death of a civilian who was hit by a scattering ball in another collision in the northwest region, hours after an explosion that left no victims.
