At least three Pakistani soldiers have died and eight others were wounded in an attack on a patrol in the province of Baluchistan in the west of the country on Tuesday, as confirmed by the army.
The armed forces have detailed that the military patrolled Kahan Village in the Gichak Valley when they were attacked by unknown people.
It was pointed out that “three soldiers were martyred and eight injured, including one officer,” before adding that “five of the wounded are in critical condition,” reports Pakistani television Geo TV.
Pakistani Minister of Human Rights Shirin Mazari spoke of “a damn terrorist act” in her account on the social network Twitter. No group is currently responsible for the incident.
Attacks by separatist and jihadist groups in Baluchistan have increased in recent months as security operations in the province have increased.
