The Israeli police have arrested three people on suspicion of attacking protesters during a protest in Tel Avivi city against police brutality and Minister of Public Security, Amir Ohana.
At least five protesters were injured in the protest, and several witnesses to the events have told the press that they have been attacked by suspected right-wing activists armed with stones, bottles, and pepper sprays.
The demonstration took place on Tuesday evening in front of the home of the Israeli Minister of Public Security, Amir Ohana. Protesters accuse the Minister of Public Security for preventing protests against Netanyahu. The protests come after the press has revealed talks between Ohana and a police command that bans protests outside Netanyahu’s house.
The demonstrators have told the Israeli press that a group of activists from Netanyahu’s supporters have infiltrated their protest and started attacking them. According to information released this Wednesday, the attackers are members of ‘La Familia’, a club of radical supporters of the Beitar football club in Jerusalem. Several of its members have been repeatedly accused of racism against Arabs.
