Three missiles struck near Baghdad Airport

Three Katyusha rockets arrived near Baghdad Airport early Wednesday without causing significant material damage, the armed forces reported.

Authorities have found the launch pad for these grenades in the Al Bakriya region in the western part of the Iraqi capital, according to the official NINA news agency.

No group has taken responsibility for this attack in a country that officially declared its war against the jihadist organization Islamic State in December 2017 after it regained its last strongholds. However, the terrorist group continued to carry out attacks practically daily in various parts of the country, including the capital and surrounding areas.
