According to police reports, three men of Guinean origin were injured in a racially motivated attack in the German city of Erfurt in the east of the country.
One of them was seriously injured and was in a “critical” state after the attack that took place in a residential area in the south-east of the city on Saturday morning.
The police arrested twelve suspects in what they described as a “xenophobic attack” near a meeting point for various right-wing extremist groups.
All three victims had to be hospitalized, although the authorities do not yet know if weapons were used during the attack. The prosecutor’s office is investigating what happened.
