MADRID, Feb. 2 (Xinhua / EP) –
On Monday, the new hospital set up in Wuhan City, the epicenter of contagion of the new coronavirus that has already claimed the lives of 304 people in China, will begin working with a staff of 1,400 military health workers. The new facilities will have a total of 1,000 beds.
Huoshenshan Hospital (Mountain of the Fire God), as the new facility has been baptized, will thus have 950 hospital workers from the Joint Logistic Support Force of the Armed Forces and 450 more from Army, Navy and Force health universities Aerial already found in Wuhan. It also has a team of 15 experts dedicated especially to avoid infections within the hospital.
Among the workers of the new hospital there are toilets with experience in the fight against SARS of the Xiaotangshan Hospital in Beijing or who have participated in the mission against Ebola in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The Chinese authorities have confirmed the death of 304 people as a result of the pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus and there are 14,380 affected. Up to 328 people have recovered from the disease, according to the National Health Commission of China. This Saturday has confirmed the death of the first patient of the new strain outside of China, specifically in the Philippines.
