The company will only take this action on its domestic flights to recover from the crisis caused by the physical social distance caused by the corona virus.
According to the company, flights by the commercial airline Jetstar from Melbourne to Sydney would be offered at a price of AUD19. According to OAG Aviation Worldwide, the Sydney-Melbourne route is the fifth with the highest traffic worldwide, as it sells 10 million seats annually.
Alan Joyce, Qantas chief executive, said that the necessary preventive measures are in place to prevent contagion once flights resume.
