June 11, 2020

At least thirteen Syrian soldiers and pro-government militiamen died in an attack on Wednesday by the Islamic State jihadist group in the city of Oqairabat in central Hama province, the Syrian Human Rights Observatory reported on Thursday.

The London-based organization and whistleblowers in the Arab country have stated that the attack resulted in violent clashes, followed by bombings on positions of the jihadist group in and around the region.

It was found that air force operations also reached Al Ruaidá and Jana al Albaui areas and that, in addition to the Oqairabat clashes, at least 21 members of the jihadist group died.
