Authorities in the city of Peoria, Illinois, have confirmed thirteen injuries in a multiple-shooter that resulted from a fight this Sunday.
The shots hit seven women and six men, all adults, and none have extremely serious injuries, the Peoria police confirmed in a statement.
The agents received the call at around 4:45 a.m. local time due to a major fight with 200 people. Upon arrival, they found two people in the neck and back injured who had to be taken to the hospital in severe condition.
Eleven other people were “shot in the extremities” even though they were also hospitalized, the Chicago Tribune newspaper said.
Investigators found that more than one person shot. “The incident occurred because of a dispute between groups of people who had gathered on the riverside,” said the body.
