Thirteen French military killed in an accident involving two helicopters in an anti-terrorism operation in Mali

PARIS, Nov. 26 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, has reported the death of thirteen Galas Armed Forces as a result of a two-helicopter accident during a combat operation against jihadists in Mali on Monday night.

“The president of the republic remembers with greater respect the memory of these soldiers of the Army of Earth (six officers, six officers and a major corporal) killed in an operation and killed by France in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel” , said Macron, in a statement published Tuesday by the Elysee Palace.

Macron has expressed his solidarity with the families of the deceased and has moved his “most sincere condolences”, in addition to underlining the “inexhaustible solidarity” of France for the loss of these military.

“The president of the republic expresses his full support to his comrades of the Army and the French armies. He salutes the courage of the French military in the Sahel and his determination to continue his mission,” said the Gallic president, before to conclude by reaffirming his “complete confidence” in the Galas Armed Forces.
